This isn’t my first time to take glutathione supplements. I first began drinking glutathione during my first year in college. I have to admit, it was very effective. The visible effects on my skin was enough to encourage my mom to try it as well. Despite, its effectivity, I also had a bad experience with it. Unlike others who got cystic pimples and breakouts, I on the other hand, experienced weight gain. Sadly, I didn’t notice it until someone commented on it. Then again, it was too late and I’ve already gained several kilos. *Sigh* Losing weight has always been my problem. No matter what I do, I can’t just seem to loose those excess fats. *Sigh* (Yes, all I can do is sigh). It might have just been that brand of glutathione, but either way, I’ve decided to avoid any gluta supplements up until recently.
It took me ages to decide if I’ll try to take gluta again. After weeks of deliberation and research on which brand would give me the best benefit without the horrid side effects, I’ve decided to take Ishigaki Amino Premium White. There were a lot of good reviews about this saying that it gave them rosy, white skin with almost no negative effects. I’ve also read about someone who experience the same thing I experienced with other brands but didn’t gain weight using this. I was hoping that, that would be the same case for me.
First and foremost, there are two variants of Ishigaki glutathione, the Amino Premium White and the Amino Classic White. These two variants are both anti-oxidants, immune system boosters, detoxifiers, and skin whiteners, but Ishigaki Amino Premium White has a formulation with added benefits on the skin, hair, nails and bones. I’ve also read reviews saying that the Amino Classic White Variant gave them yellowish white skin. Since I don’t think white, yellowish skin suits me, I’ve decided to try their premium blend instead.
The Ishigaki Amino Premium White comes in a small bottle containing 30 capsules. Each capsule contains 850 mg of amino acid blend namely:
L- Glutamic Acid 200 mg
L- Cysteine 200 mg
Glycine 200 mg
N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine 100 mg
L-Proline 50 mg
L-Methionine 50 mg
L- Threonine 50 mg
Serving suggestion is 1 capsule a day, but I’ve read comments saying that they’re taking this twice a day. Though I do recommend to simply follow the instructions found in the label just to be in the safe side. By the way, this product is also FDA approved. 😀
The capsule itself is a bit large, but not enough to choke you (LOL)! It is clear white with white powder inside. I usually take this in the morning (after meal) since our body’s natural glutathione level is lowest during that time. I also drink this with 1000 mg of Vitamin C. I’ve read that vitamin C increases its effectivity.
My skin is not exactly dark. To be honest I’m more on the fairer side. My problem is I have uneven skin tone. My face is way whiter than my neck. The same goes with my arms. Half of it is darker than the other half. And don’t forget the tan lines on my legs which I got from wearing shorts most of the time. I wanted to even out my skin tone and maybe, also lighten my skin a few more shades. (lol! Vanity it is! I can’t help it. I came from a country that views white skin as beautiful.)
A bottle, which is good for a month’s supply, costs 1000 pesos. It can be bought online. Then again, be very careful when buying online since there have been reports of fake ishigaki product being sold in the internet. It would also be hard to tell since the fakes are almost identical to the real ones. Also, the new batch of ishigaki supplements no longer have that rotten egg smell that legit glutathione usually have. Well, they still smells weird, but not particularly rotten.
I’m not expecting grand results in a short period of time. I know these things takes time before I can achieve the skin I wanted.
As I’ve mentioned before, I’ve just recently started drinking this almost the same time as the Youtheory Collagen supplement. I was hoping that this two supplement will work together to effectively give me that flawless, white and healthy skin I’ve always wanted. 🙂 I will also be updating this after a few months, to share with you if it really was effective for me or not.
Side Note: It’s sooo freaking hot outside. Anyone else bothered with the heat??? They said the summer’s heat is already ending, but why do I feel like its only getting hotter everyday??
Alright! That’s it for today. This is Jholly Nazareno signing out. Till next time!

I’m now on my 3rd bottle and I think its now time to share with you guys my verdict on the supplement. 😀 I actually wanted to post this update 2 weeks ago, but I never had enough time to sit in front of my computer.
I did mention before that I’m not particularly expecting fast results. Positive results, yes, but not with just a few bottles of intake. To be honest, I didn’t notice the difference on my skin until I was putting my before and after pics side by side. I think I’m so used to seeing my skin everyday that I no longer notice the changes in it. But yeah, that’s where pictures (and friends) come in handy 🙂
In terms of whitening my skin, I can say that it does work its magic. 🙂 It did what I didn’t expect and I’m happy with it. 🙂 My skin lightened a few shades and the yellowish tone lessened. YAY!! As for evening out my skin tone, my skin still have parts that are a little darker in color. Probably with continuous intake, it’ll eventually even out.
As much as I wanted to believe that it has no negative effect, I can’t exactly say so. I noticed that after 2 weeks of taking this supplement, I started to breakout especially on my nose and chin. I’m not certain if this supplement was the reason behind my breakout or just my hormones going haywire. I also heard that breaking out is normal due to the detoxing effects of glutathione. Anyways, I decided to blame my hormones and continue taking the supplement silently praying that the acne is only my skin saying that it’s detoxing and will eventually go away. In a few weeks, my breakouts started to lessen. I would still get one or two every now and then, but I did found some products that helps dry then at lighting speed. LOL! So yah, breakout problems solved! 😀
